DEPARTMENT OF BASIC SCIENCES
This department aims to provide the basic infrastructure in the maritime field making research in the branches of physics, chemistry, mathematics, history and social sciences.
Department gives lecture in these areas to other two departments which are Maritime Transportation and Management Engineering and Ship Machinery and Management Engineering.
Undergraduate students are not been admitted to the Basic Sciences Department.
